In addition to the many (new music) that comes to Radio Duivenstraat in ONGEHOORD, there is now also an album of the week every week. From Monday to Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
In the week of July 1 to July 4: Michael Menager – Line In The Water
Born east of Los Angeles and educated in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1960s, Michael Menager came of age during the political turmoil of the time. Michael studied literature at university and immersed himself in the texts of Chaucer, Shakespeare and John Donne, as well as writers and poets of the Beat Generation, such as Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg.
Michael’s first two albums, “Clean Exit” in 2014 and “Not The Express” in 2016, are musical portraits of a traveler who wore many hats along the way, yet always remained a student and seeker. The style is classic Americana, country blues, touches of folk and bluegrass, touches of jazz and early rock ‘n’ roll, and the lyrics mix philosophy and poetry, telling of roads traveled and life lived, occasional victories and the defeats of where we have to rise again somehow.
