Deb Seymour – Sometimes You Gotta Wear Boots

Retiring from her 20-year job as a web developer in January 2020, Seattle songwriter Deb Seymour resumed her prior career as a full-time touring songwriter, only to be unexpectedly halted by the pandemic. Undeterred, Deb quickly adapted by mastering the art of live-streaming. Thus began a multi-year virtual tour that not only sustained but also broadened her fan base from local to global. Now back on the road, she relishes meeting her fans in person while maintaining her weekly live-streaming sessions from various locations, captivating audiences with her whimsical and original songs.

Sometimes You Gotta Wear Boots came out of the pandemic’s dark days. An uplifting collection, Boots delves into themes of overcoming obstacles, cherishing love, respecting the environment, dropping misconceptions, finding humor in life’s challenges, conquering childhood fears, and even exploring the whims of a very pampered house cat named Morpheus.

Ultimately, Boots serves as a reminder that tough times will pass, and that embracing life’s small joys, love, and laughter can help us navigate through any rut. Deb has released four previous albums and has placed in numerous song contests, most recently as a finalist at the 2024 South Florida Folk Festival Songwriting Contest.
